Here are three more pictures from our trip to Boise, Idaho. I have been trying the "Orton Technique" on pictures of people. I had to turn it way down, but I kind of like it.
I was just having fun with the picture of Shalene. I liked the mirror and the ability to take the picture from above her, but I don't like the background. I couldn't avoid it though. Braedon's I ran through a slight "vintage" action. I wanted the picture to look a bit more rustic because of the bricks behind him. Now if only he would improve his facial expressions! :) Cami's picture still needs some work before I declare it finished, but I like the shadow behind her.

I have been trying to take those shots where the person is all black against the sunset. I still had to cheat a little bit in Photoshop, but I did much better this time. Now, all I need to do is come up with some better subjects!
I took these pictures on the way to Boise, ID. I wish we were on the side of the mountain where the sun was setting, but we weren't. The viewpoint was up above the clouds. Very pretty up there.

I am just floored by the difference in these two photos. I took this one while going over the bridge that is on the way to our house. Not that great of a photo at all. We were going around 30 mph so it is a little blurry to begin with. Anyways, Rebecca sent me a link about the Orton Technique. I downloaded the action, and eventually came up with the second photo. I am just thrilled with the difference!

Last night I went outside to get something out of the car and noticed the moon coming out of the clouds. It looked so cool all tangled up in the tree branches. I just couldn't help myself so I went back inside, grabbed my camera, and started taking a bunch of pictures although I was totally freezing. ;) I am pretty happy with how the picture turned out considering I didn't use a tripod. I don't like the lighting around the moon, but I will try and look past it. :)

The other day we woke up to around 13 inches of snow. That is a lot for around here! School was cancelled so we went over to a popular place and went sledding. The kids had a great time...well, until Kyle wiped out and got all wet and muddy. Everything went downhill from there! He wanted to go, but little Brae...he was begging to stay or go to a different park. What a kid.

Brae seemed to have the most fun. He looked so cute going down those hills. Our other kids looked kind of freaked when they started picking up speed, but Braedon looked like he was having the time of his life.

After watching the kids go down this hill and off a small ramp, I persuaded Shalene to at least try it. She caught some decent air and even went more than once although she said it hurt her bum. Cami seemed content to pile snow up with her dad. They made a snow ball together, and she threw a fit when we wouldn't let her take it home!

Here a few more pictures of the bride and groom. I am still working on some of the other ones.
Well, I took pictures at my brother's wedding. Here are a few "random" type shots. Trying to be artistic, but not quite sure how I am doing. I will need to do some more research on what other people are doing out there for weddings. The bride and my brother (and our families) were very supportive and didn't put any stress upon me. I was plenty stressed without them though! I don't know how people can do this for a living! :)

I haven't really had time to take very many pictures lately. I will just keep posting some of the pictures I took on our trip down to Tucson. Right now I am staying plenty busy trying to get all the pictures for the family to print out.
