We went camping last weekend, and we had a great time. Baby did really well considering that I forgot her binky! The mosquitoes were out in force though so I had to keep her bundled. Can't put spray on babies. :(

What is kind of funny is that when I was a kid, we could see a huge difference in the temperature and environment when we went camping. We lived in Tucson and going up into the mountains meant a break from the heat and trees! Now, we pretty much live in the mountains. The weather is nice and it is a pretty place to be. Camping for us now means that we leave the nice weather and head into the heat. Although the mountains where we camped are still green, it is a bit more barren compared to where we live. I just thought that was a bit humorous. Our kids will have opposite memories than we have.

Sha and Ky slept in the small tent. Dad, Brae and Cam slept in the bigger tent while baby and I slept in the van. That was very uncomfortable. I don't think I will be doing that again. :) At least not in that van. Our last van was pretty comfortable. The picture was taken in the morning. That is why we all look so fabulous!

The kids really enjoyed paddling the canoes. Boy was it windy though! I was seriously a little freaked out at first.

Camping isn't camping for us without throwing the football around. Ky loves to do that. Brae doesn't catch very well yet, but his throwing is getting much better.
I got kind of bored waiting for the boys to get back from their little trip in the canoe so Shalene modeled for me even though she didn't want to. Thank you Shalene. Bummer you can't tell the background is water. Too much DOF.

Okay, here is yet another photo. I have taken over 4000 pictures, yet I only like...maybe...two of the pictures I have taken of Kate so far...well, aside from the hospital pictures. Those are just fun. Fun pictures are the best anyways. Those are the ones my kids like looking at the most. Pictures of them doing the things they do. They hate the posed pictures. Anyway! Kate sleeps with her tongue sticking out slightly. It looks funny to me for pictures. I think it is cute that she does it, but I just don't want a picture of it every time! :) I try and push it back in a little, but no matter what, she pushes it back out. Silly baby!

I really like this picture of Nathan and Cam. Cam loves to water the grass for us.

Okay, just a few more pictures. I like to try and take some every day.

Here are some more. I try and take some pictures every day, but I am still not getting what I want. :( I do kind of like the texture of Kate wrapped in the scarf. I will try some more of that one tomorrow. Not crazy about the fact that her hands are in her face, but then again, her hands ARE always in her face it seems. ;)

Cammie and Kate

I decided to take some pictures for Cam and Kate's room. I will add to these as I edit them. I am sticking with BW for their room.

I was in the mood to take some pictures of Kate the other day. Here are some.

I know these aren't "professional" quality, but I just like her in her little nightgown. I left her "skin tag" on her check so you guys can see what it looks like. The otheres are bigger and on her ear.
I just think she looks funny in this picture. I made the hat. That is why it doesn't look quite right.

Our Fourth of July...wasn't all that exciting considering Kate was only a few days old. We did light some of our own fireworks and then watched everything that was going on up on "The Ridge". We also watched a movie...not exciting, but here are some pictures.

She's here!

Katelyn Esther was born on Tuesday, July 1st at 12:33 pm. She was 9 lbs and 19.5 inches long. She has four "skin tags" on her face that will need to be removed later, but other than that, she is very healthy.

Of course we took a million pictures. It will take me a while to go through them all, but here are few for now. ;)
